No. Anyone you share a story with reads it for free, with or without an account.
What happens if I go back to Free?
Nothing is taken away. Your stories stay as they are; you only cannot add more than the Free plan allows.
Which plan does a shared story use?
The story owner's. People writing in your story use your plan's limits, not their own.
